In My Own Words...
In my 23 years in the field
of architecture, I have spent
over 20 years working with native
people. Although not a planned
path, I have gravitated toward
firms and projects that attempt
to meet the needs of the less
fortunate and disadvantaged.
Being from a very small Midwestern
town in my youth, I guess I
have shied away from the high
visibility corporate world and
have been very satisfied to
work on the small projects in
out-of-the way places. The healthcare
and education projects that
I have been fortunate to have
a part in over the years have
been rewarding in a personal
sense. I have learned so much
from the clients that I have
worked with, about them, as
people, and about myself. Being
a part of the Dyron Murphy Team
has been the most rewarding
time in my career and offers
many more opportunities for
growth as a person and an architect.
