Myra Villalobos, LEED™ Accredited Professional & Project Manager
Myra earned her LEED™AP certification in 2008, and serves as LEED™ (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) project manager with Dyron Murphy Architects, P.C. She enjoys learning the engineering and architectural dynamics involved in making a sustainable building. She has been involved in several major “green” projects while at DMA, and has consulted on LEED™ for other companies. Her accomplishments thus far involve: the LEED™ Silver Certified Lawton Indian Hospital, the Gold Certified Job Corps Dormitory, the Institute of American Indian Arts Facilities (pending Gold Certification), the Navajo Division of Transportation Center (pending Gold Certification), UNM Gallup Student Service Center (pending Silver Certification) the Rough Rock Community School Facilities (pending Silver Certification), and the UNM Cancer Center Administration Building (pending Silver Certification).
Myra is a 2009 graduate from the University of New Mexico. She has a Bachelors of Arts in three major fields of study: Biological Anthropology, Spanish, Economics. Myra has worked in conservation before, assisting in developing a conservation education program at the Gila National Forest in 2004 and the Aldo Leopold Charter School located in Silver City.
Myra continues her involvement in Green Building by participating in sustainable organizations at the state and national level. She is a member of both the United States Green Building New Mexico Chapter, and a Continuing Education Advisory Group for the Green Building Certification Institute. Currently, Myra is certified as a LEED™ Building Design and Construction consultant, and is working toward becoming certified in LEED™for Neighborhood Development.
