In My Own Words...
I was born and raised in San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico. I am an enrolled member of the Pueblo of Laguna, where my mother is from. I grew up with my older sister, father and mother.

I earned my Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma in May 2006. "Go Sooners!" After graduation, I decided to move back to New Mexico.

I have chosen to enter a profession that allows me to follow in my family's and ancestors' footsteps, like my father and his father. Now I hope to build a traditional home where I will be able to pass the trade down to the younger generation.

I am currently working towards earning my license. After obtaining it, I would like to build traditional and non-traditional buildings for indigenous people here in New Mexico, in the United States and around the world.

I have enjoyed working with the people here at Dyron Murphy Architects. There is never a dull moment, and yet, the work gets done in a very professional manner. I have learned more about my future profession in the time that I have been here, and am able to contribute what I've learned while in school. One thing that I have really enjoyed about working here, besides the people, is working towards my goal of helping Native peoples with their building needs.
