Project No. 02N20
The $2,600,000 Mariano Lake Elementary School
project is currently in the design phase. This
BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) school project
is contracted under the Navajo Nation Design &
Engineering Services Department, and administered
under Grant status by the Mariano Lake Community
School Board.
The scope of work includes the correction of
deficiencies related to life safety, code, material
failure and/or surpassed performance time, and
a new 4,178 square foot library and 8,866 square
foot gymnasium.
Dyron Murphy Architects, PC has worked with the
school committee to develop a series of schematic
designs and programmatic schedules that address
the needs of the school, while significantly reducing
the overly ambitious original program of requirements.
Dyron Murphy Architects, P.C. has conducted several
on-site meetings and is working closely with the
Mariano Lake Community School Board in finalizing
design decisions, with the support of Navajo Nation
Design & Engineering Services and BIA Office
of Facility Management and Construction based
in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
